Wake Up Ministry is funded primarily by donations and fundraising.
About 80 percent of donations come from within New Zealand, where Wake Up Ministry is based, and the rest comes from overseas donors.
Wake Up Ministry keeps administration and overhead costs very low, so that nearly all the funds available can go straight into ministry work. This includes supplying finance in areas of need, such as for schools or equipment in Africa and India, and for mission trips. Ministry teams also carry out fundraising to contribute to the costs of travel. For example, in 2016 a team went to Fiji. They raised a significant amount of the funds by selling potatoes and chocolate!
